"There's more than a touch of the hubris of the Stahl House evident in this 2009 work by Zoltan Pali. The views are the thing here and they are enhanced by the clean lines of architecture and minimally-framed glazing. The overall effect is akin to being on a diving board high above the city."
The Blue Jay Way house by SPF:architects sits in the Bird Streets of LA. So named as it sits just a block from where George Harrison wrote The Beatles track 'Blue Jay Way'. The four level residence towers over the LA basin below.

Per SPF: architects "Technically a renovation project, only the foundation of the original Blue Jay Way remains today, a concession needed to preserve now-expired 1980s entitlements." The house features teak panels that clad the upper level of the house, which appears to be floating on air above an all-glass main level. Other highlights include a disco lounge, a 42 foot fountain and swimming pool and a transparent main level that is surrounded by glass and a Miesian steel-and-glass reading room that juts out over the front entry, paying tribute to the legendary modernist, offering western sun to the master suite, and conveniently providing shelter to the home’s front entry.
