This mid-century home in the Trousdale Estates was designed by master architect, Rex Lotery, FAIA, in 1959. It has since been meticulously restored by design team Philippe Naouri and Eric Choi of Maison d'Artiste, in collaboration with Studio Tim Campbell. Rex Lotery was one of the few professionals in Southern California who combined architecture, urban design, and consensus planning as integral parts of a single practice. Lotery maintained mid-century minimalism here in this home conceptualized for French actress Corinne Calvet in the 1950s and inspired by a chance meeting with Charlotte Perriand. The current and most recent adaptations will insure the integrity of the space remains. Features include landscaping inspired by Brazilian modernism, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, an open kitchen, screening room, a wine room, and infinity pool. The Calvet Residence is unparalleled by contemporary design.
