Nic Lehoux

My work is driven by two primary objectives: first is the need to compose striking, dynamic one point perspectives of the spaces I shoot. These pure and careful compositions define the essence of space that make up the sections and elevations of the building. This methodology is also applied to create abstractions that capture a certain mystique within the space I am shooting. Then, the rigour with which these photographs are composed is counterbalanced with what I consider to be the soulful element of the image. This element consists of the natural ballet of people occupying these spaces. It is the freeform theatre of life. captured at the decisive moment. This is where I find the true meaning of my work: enabling the symbiosis of architecture and people who inhabit it. It is a careful balancing act of composition and alchemy.
